![]() Im mad about this entire situation because thats just theft. Its doesnt make any sense for them to keep all 18 session of my money that I never attended to and Ive been trying to cancel for so long and its their fault for not cancelling it the first time. Ive been fighting this cancellation since November 2022 and nobody could help me. And they said I cant get any of my money back. Well to find out Ive been charged 18 sessions of $132 and I go in today to see why am I still getting charged. So I thought I was set and was over with it. I was never told I couldnt cancelled over the phone. I spoke with someone and they said they cancelled it for me. I cancelled my Crunch membership around 10/2022. I know it's only $105.88, but it's the principal of the matter to me. My intention is to take them to small claims court. The truth is at some point, I would have probably called back and renewed for a year, paid in advance for a year like I did prior, non auto renew, but now they've lost a customer for life. So, I paid the $105.88 just now so it didn't effect my credit, but this company is about as shady as it gets. I go up there to make sure the account is closed this time, they print me my contract and neither box is checked for auto renew or non renew this time for the time I called over the phone and paid for a year in advance the second year. 3 months go by and they call me today and tell me my account is in collections. So I decided to call back, spoke to someone named ****, the manager, who I guess is a trainer now, told him what I and the operator just went over, he says no problem, I'll mark the account and tell them to stop calling you. Crunch calls, tells me the membership expired, I told them I don't want to renew at this time, *** says okay, I will mark the account. Never really though much of it, year goes by, I decided it's too crowed, don't renew and keep my membership at La Fitness. They never sent my contract via email like the first one. My second year I did the same thing, after letting it go for a few months, but this time I called them on the phone instead of going in, told them I wanted the same thing I did last time. Went there in person, wanted no monthly installments, paid it in full for the year. So, my original membership was paid in full, marked non auto renew. I will do be press charges if the situation does not resolve itself. This is discrimination against those that cannot physically make their way into a business. I emailed that address a detailed description of my situation, and why I am physically unable to cancel my membership. I was then given the email by a manager at the crunch fitness on Hillsboro Avenue. I also tried to cancel over the phone multiple times, but they disallowed me to do so. There is no reason that I should have to go into a gym while bedridden to cancel a membership that could easily be canceled over the phone. I understand if it was a bank or something. I would never sign up for any company that would not let me cancel due to my not being able to come into the business and cancel in person. I cannot tell you how disgusted I am with a policy like that. Apparently, there is a policy in effect at the crunch fitness on Hillsboro Avenue in ***** that all cancellations must be done in person. I was charged every single month since then. I was assured that I would not be charged after sending the email. I come to find out that my account has been charged every single month since the email has sent. I was given an email address in which to send a detailed email with my name and situation in order to get the membership canceled without having to go in person to a crunch fitness location. I contacted crunch, letting them know that I will not be able to use the gym membership for several months and that I will need to cancel it. ![]() Went to the doctor, got x-rays, the whole shebang. I injured myself in a trampoline accident to where I was bedridden for several weeks.
